  • Calendars

Every year, I take on the challenge of designing and printing a calendar for the upcoming twelve months. Each edition experiments with a new printing technique, format, and visual rhythm to guide you through the year.

These calendars don’t include dates or write-in fields, so that they remain relevant year after year, after year, after year ...

2026
Fragments of an apple tree.

Twelve small linocuts capture details of an old childhood apple tree. The prints are placed in a paper box together with a nail and a magnet. Once you’ve found the right spot, tap the nail into the wall and hang the month’s linocut with the magnet. At the turn of each month, return to the box, choose the next fragment, and begin the ritual again.

2025
A quiet reminder to slow down.

Six original woodcuts depict a wave approaching that form a subtle animation that unfolds over twelve months. Each print can be torn off and reused as a postcard, small artwork, or bookmark, extending the life of the piece beyond the year.

2024
Foggy textures, slight contrasts and a stream of light.

This calendar is a printed companion for the year with six two-colour material prints inspired by landscapes from the Czech Republic, Ireland, and Germany.  Using fabric as the printing matrix, the landscapes emerge with rich, shaded textures.

2023
A tree trunk, leaves on the ground, a hill, a pond …

A collection of twelve original prints inspired by forests I’ve visited in recent years; from Scotland and the Czech Republic to Italy and Germany. Month by month, the calendar offers a changing view of the landscapes that shaped it.
