About

Paul Tuttas is a visual artist and illustrator based in Prague, Czech Republic. He specializes in printmaking, working with traditional techniques such as woodcut and linocut while also exploring experimental methods like monotype and material printing. Nature is central to his work—he discovers and interprets landscapes through his images, capturing its textures, rhythms, and atmospheres. His work spans visual art, artist’s books, and commissioned projects, including illustration and graphic design. Passionate about sharing his knowledge, he also leads workshops on various printmaking techniques and bookbinding.

Born in 1996 in Ludwigslust, Germany, Paul Tuttas earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in Regensburg. In 2024, he completed a Master’s degree in Illustration and Graphics at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM) in Prague. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Simeona Hošková Prize at Grafika Roku in Prague, the Most Beautiful Czech Book Award, and the kunstpreis in Regensburg. Paul Tuttas exhibits in solo and group exhibitions across Czech Republic and Germany, with his works featured in public collections.
